Department of Public Works and Highways Bulacan Second District
Engineering Office completed Php2.093 billion worth of infrastructure
projects in 2017. Among the priority projects was the rehabilitation and
improvement of the 41 kilometers Eastern Bulacan Road that interconnects the
municipalities of Dona Remedios Trinidad, San Rafael, San Ildefonso, and San

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, Jan.29 (PIA) -- Department of Public
Works and Highways (DPWH) Bulacan Second District Engineering Office
completed Php2.093 billion worth of infrastructure projects in 2017.
“We successfully delivered the government’s program of Build…Build…Build to
the people in the cities of San Jose Del Monte and Meycauayan and the towns
of Angat, San Rafael, San Ildefonso, San Miguel, Doña Remedios Trinidad,
Norzagaray, Sta. Maria, Marilao, and Obando with the completion of 19.59
kilometers of national roads, 88 lineal meters of bridges, 31 flood control
structures, and 105 other infrastructure projects,” District Engineer Ramiro
Cruz disclosed.
“We have built roads and bridges that reduced travel time and improve road
quality and safety, and constructed dikes, seawalls, river control,
revetment and drainage canals that will protect lives and properties from
the effects of natural disasters,” he added.
In addition to projects under the 2017 Regular Infrastructure Program, DPWH
Bulacan Second District Engineering Office also completed the construction
of 88 units of school buildings consisting of 755 classrooms amounting
Php1.297 Billion under the Department of Education’s Basic Education
Facilities Fund and 12.24 kilometers of farm-to-market roads worth Php105
Million under the Department of Agriculture’s budget.
Among the priority projects in 2017 was the rehabilitation and improvement

“The paved mountain road shaded by trees offers great scenery that will be a
